For a more youthful appearance, reducing fine lines and wrinkles
Busy lifestyles and natural aging processes can cause the skin to lose its natural elasticity, and lines and wrinkles appear.
Wrinkle reduction treatments reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles, and dermal fillers are used to ‘plump-up’ areas where the skin has naturally creased. Where blemishes have occurred, chemical peels can be used to remove the outermost layers of skin which allows the fresh layers of newer skin to be seen.
Wrinkle reduction treatment
Wrinkle reduction treatment works by an injection blocking the impulses from the nerve to the facial muscles, allowing the wrinkles to relax with the surrounding muscles, whilst the non-treated areas continue to function as normal. This reduces the appearance of lines and wrinkles. The treatment takes 10-15 minutes, and the results usually last around 2-6 months, and repeat injections can be used to maintain the wrinkle reduction in treated areas.
Dermal filler injections
Dermal filler injections ‘plump-up’ the injected area, giving it more body. Any lines and furrows treated appear smoother. Frown lines can be reduced and lips made to look fuller. The treatment takes about 30 minutes and the results usually last around 6-18 months. Repeat treatments can be used to maintain the 'plumping-up' in the treated areas.
Chemical peels of different types can be used depending on the type of skin blemish or pigmentation problem. Superficial peeling is used to give the face a rejuvenated look by removing the outermost layers of skin which can have become dull. The newer skin layers revealed during the peeling process appear to 'glow' giving a younger, healthier look.
For certain types of blemish, a deeper peeling treatment is needed.
